Ministries

● Street Evangelism – We hit the streets of Queens every Tuesday at 11:00am to connect with UPG’s through offering prayer for felt needs. We also offer Gospel oriented literature and media. Through these we start faith-based conversations and make connections.

● Friendship Evangelism – One of our most effective strategies is to establish friendships with people from UPG backgrounds that we seek to maintain over months, even years. This includes getting to know the contact’s entire family and social circles. We understand that salvation is a process of many steps. We track these steps through the use of The Engel's Scale.

● UPG Evangelism Training – We also offer training and on-going support to churches and non-profits that are seeking to develop an outreach program.

Wednesday is our day for Fasting and Praying. Every Wednesday morning at 11:00am the Ministry Team gets together to pray for our UPG contacts and our Prayer Partners. We make the needs of our contacts known through our weekly/biweekly text updates. We also have different prayer partners join us by Zoom meeting or phone. If you would like to become a prayer partner please contact us and let us know. We look forward to having you become part of the team!

If you live in New York City please consider joining one of our Bible Studies or House Churches. We have different groups meeting in different languages every night of the week.

● Start a Small Group or one-on-one Bible Study - If you are interested in learning how to study the Bible with anyone from a particular UPG group or religious background, please let us know. We offer free training in how to effectivly start Bible studies with different people from different groups. This can be done online or in person.
● Free Training Online – We offer training in how to start vitual small groups or one on one Bible Studies as well.

Our ESL ministry is an exciting group to be a part of. Teaching English as a second language is one of the best ways to reach UPGs for Jesus. At CTU we have a very unique way of Introducing people to the Gospel through ESL classes. We are always in need of new volunteers so pleaase consider taking our training.

● ESL Training – We also train churches and other non-profit ministries to start ESL programs in their organizations with a specific intent to reach out to UPG’s. We partner with the International Learning Center to provide this training..

● Muslim Outreach Training – NYC is home to over 1 million Muslims, which is the largest UPG religious group in the Metropolitan area. We offer Christian organizations specific training on how to reach them with the Gospel.

● Mosque and Temple visits – We’ve had many visitors to NYC that want to understand what we do with first hand experiences. We arrange for them to visit a temple or mosque to further understand UPG life. This includes spending time with their personnel in order to learn and ask questions.

● Empowering UPG believers to take the Gospel back to their home countries –
Many new UPG believers come from countries where it is impossible or difficult for missionaries to bring the Gospel. In our experience, the best missionaries to these countries are their own people who come to Christ in the West. We provide training, funding, prayer support and encouragement for those God has called back to their home countries.

● Connecting UPG believers with Churches in their neighborhoods – Once a UPG believer is ready to connect with the larger Body of Christ, we encourage them to join a church near their home. We are also available to work with Church leadership to provide a welcoming atmosphere and give ongoing discipleship.

We offer a ton of new opportunities to get invloved. We are opening up new house churches for those who may not have grown up in the church and are curious about small groups. If you would like to be part of a house church or bible study please don't hesitte to contact us. We believe the best place for any Christian to be is on the constant edge of expansion. If you join our prayer meeting or one of our Bible Studies you will learn how to expand God's Kingdom in the lives of many people around you. You do not need to bring anything other than yourselves. Unless you are already connected to someone we usually try to keep new people together. So look at this as a time in which you get to make new friends with interesting people and have casual discussions. In the middle of your first meeting we might have a very brief open discussion about an interesting topic. We look forward to having you join us. It will be an exciting time to meet new people.

We currently have a team of amazing leaders. However, we are always looking to have leaders and volunteers join our mission. If you have a heart to server and want the chance to give back, this is the ministry for you.

Once you decide to be part of the team we would like to sit down with you to dsicuss in what capacity you could serve. We would be very excited to have you join our team. Our ministry is growing quickly and we love to see how God uses the various members of our team. Please view the qualifications to the right.

In order to become a volunteer at CTU you must be at least 18 years or older. If you are under 18 you must have parental consent.to participate in any CTU event.
You must be a member of a local church or ministry.
You must be willing to devote the time necessary to take our training courses.
You must be willing to devote a section of your free time. to serve in at least one of our ministries.
Must have a heart to serve the Lord and be willing to befriend and connect with UPGs.
Must be willing to learn how to share Christ and disciple various UPGs as needed..
